Company Director Fundamentals (CDF) gives you practical knowledge of your legal, fiduciary and governance responsibilities, in bite-sized online modules you can finish in 15 to 20 minutes each.

CDF is a joint programme by ACRA and SID that gives directors practical knowledge of their legal, fiduciary and governance duties. It was developed with RSM Singapore and Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP, with input from CPF Board, IRAS and the Workplace Safety and Health Council.

Aspiring directors, newly appointed directors, and existing directors who want to refresh their knowledge. It suits directors of companies of every size, including SMEs.

Fully online and self-paced. There are no live or in-person sessions. Each module takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Create a complimentary SID account on the SID website, then register for CDF 101. CDF 201 needs a separate registration. Registration opens in October 2026.

No. You only need a free SID account.

CDF is currently available in English only.

Not at this time. Company directors are not employees or workers, so they are not eligible for SkillsFuture Credit. CDF 201 is priced at a nominal fee to keep it accessible.

Yes. Completing all 10 modules is a prerequisite for SID's Accreditation Pathway. CDF completers can take the CDF Accreditation Pathway Package at $1,635 for SID members or $1,853 for non-members, both including GST.
