About the Programme
The Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) in collaboration with the Institute of Directors UK (IoD) is pleased to launch the Accelerated Diploma in Company Direction Programme in Singapore. This marks IoD’s inaugural collaboration with an Asian director institute to bring world-class board education closer to directors based in the region.
Drawing on the deep expertise and extensive networks of both director institutes, this immersive programme goes beyond theory. It offers a practical and unique curriculum that addresses real-world challenges and strategic opportunities facing today’s global board leaders.
This 6 day in-person residential programme includes four modules:

Leadership for Directors
Finance for Non-Finance Directors
Strategy for Directors
Participants who complete the programme will be eligible to:
Take the SID Accreditation Exam with the registration fee waived (worth S$272.50)
Receive complimentary access to the SID Directors Conference on 28 August 2026 (worth S$990)

Programme Experts
Janhavi Dadarkar
Ms Janhavi Dadarkar holds a portfolio of non-executive director positions and serves as an IoD course leader. She has over two decades of experience in advising corporates and entrepreneurs. After starting as a lawyer in top City of London firms, she turned to corporate and government affairs as Equity Partner in an India-focused advisory firm which she helped build, restructure and exit. She is a recognised expert and frequent speaker on governance and cross-border transactions. Ms Dadarkar has authored many guides and articles on various topics, including doing business in India, best corporate practices and joint ventures.Charles Kingsmill
Mr Charles Kingsmill is a Certified Director and experienced consultant, trainer, facilitator and coach with over 20 years’ experience in finance, strategy and leadership. Mr Charles works with organisations ranging from SMEs to global companies and Magic Circle firms. He is a faculty member at the Institute of Directors, where he delivers Finance and Strategy programmes and helped pioneer the Aspiring Directors programme. Earlier in his career, he served as a Finance Director in the United States and later as Head of Strategy Development for Mars’ European snack foods business. He holds an MA from the University of Oxford, is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), and is a registered practitioner in Myers-Briggs, FIRO-B and Strengthscope. He is also a charity trustee and volunteer at a suicide helpline.
